What if I live out of the area, and I am not able to attend closing?

Elite Title has several options to coordinate your closing if you are not able to attend.  We will make arrangements for the documents to be sent to you in advance with clear instruction of what you will need to do.  Our office is ALWAYS just a phone call away for assistance.

How do I calculate the doc stamps on my sale?

The doc stamps on the deed are calculated by taking the sales price of the property (rounded to the next $100) multiplied by .0070. 
Example a sales price of $125,000.00 will have doc stamps on the deed of $875.00

How do I file for Homestead Exemption?
You may file for Homestead Exemption with the County Property Appraiser.  You can view this information and the contact numbers for the Indian River County Property Appraiser by clicking here.

Can I write a personal check for closing?
Funds due on the day of closing must be in the form of a wire transfer (please contact our office for our wiring instructions.)

How do I get an estimate of my closing costs for my transaction? 
You may contact our office at any time to request a cost estimate on your transaction.  If you will be obtaining a mortgage on your purchase, or if you are going to be refinancing your property, you may use the SmartGFE Calculator below to receive a general estimate of your title fees.
